          Every year, we Filipinos celebrate the National Reading Month on the eleventh month of the year which is November. This promotes the love for reading and its importance to the lifelong process of learning among Filipino learners. And this year's theme is "Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan".           Schools conduct different activities and contests for the celebration of the National Reading Month. And some activities includes the Interpretative Reading, Extemporaneous Speaking, Essay Writing Contest, Speech Choir, English Language and Literature Quiz Bee. They conduct these activities to enhance the  talent of the students in reading and communicating.               Many of us love to read. We read in books, comics or even in our phones. Some read because of boredom, some read because it is their hobby and some read because they want to learn new knowledge. Reading is very important. Reading plays a very important role in achieving our goals in life.

                The gadget is one of the things that symbolize our development. It makes our works and communication easier and faster through the use of our gadgets. It is good having gadgets at home as it also provides entertainment to us. But remember that having a gadget has its own responsibilities. It may make our works and communication faster but we must remember that the excessive use of this may also cause you harm. It can damage your eyesight and it can also be used to deceive others. You can also lose time for your family because you will just use you phone instead of talking to them personally. And instead of making friends personally, you will just use facebook to add those people you want to befriend with.                 With a gadget, you can watch a movie, play games, listen to music and read a story.
