The Philippines' Independence

The Philippines Independence Day is held every June 12th of the year. It was Emilio Aguinaldo who raised our flag and our national anthem was played for the first time on June 12, 1898 in Imus, Cavite as the sign of our freedom. And now is the 120th year since we were free from the foreign invaders.

We Filpinos, celebrate Independence day every year because it is the day which we got our independence or freedom from our foreign invaders. To remind our youth how lucky they are for they have their freedom. Now a days, we can say what we want to say. We can do what we want to do. We can go where we want to go. These things are the things that our ancestors fought for.

So as a millenial, I encourage my fellow youth to value our freedom. Do not abuse the freedom that we have. Do not use it to harm others and to make your love ones hurt.
