What Lies behind the Colorful costume of the United Nations Month


As a student, I used to think that United Nations month is an event wearing different costumes of different countries but I do not have knowledge what it is all about. But as I mature, I learned that United Nation is having a big role in the world.
United Nations is an organization composes of 193 states but when it is founded, it only has 51 states. This organization is founded to have a task to promote international co-operation and to create and maintain international order. It was found last October 24, 1945 as a replacement of the League of Nations.
The United Nations helps maintaining international peace and order, implements human rights, protecting the environment and helping others who are in needs during disaster and armed conflict.  This organization is powerful one where in the members should obey or follow the orders of the organization.

SONA 2018

                Last July 23, 2018, at 4 o’clock p.m., when President Rodrigo Roa Duterte delivered his third SONA. The speech which lasted for about 48 minutes was so far his shortest speech. It is straight to the point speech. SONA or State of the Nation Address wherein the President will discuss the present situation of the country.
